I am a Licensed Therapist in both South Carolina and Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I am also nationally certified in the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma protocol, certified in the Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) protocol, and an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who feel stuck repeating damaging patterns and cycles that may be rooted in early life experiences including those within their family of origin and other past relationships.
I obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in 2011 and a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida in Orlando in 2015. Since 2011 and prior to starting my private practice I've worked in a wide variety of settings in the field including residential centers, intensive outpatient programs, community mental health agencies, and an addictions treatment facility.
I’ve spent years now in private practice helping individuals and couples break out of deep seated cycles to create healthy and thriving relationships with themselves and others. During these years I've engaged in many advanced trainings and have continued to hone my skills in order to to truly help my clients achieve their goals and make their time in therapy as productive and results oriented as possible. In my practice I utilize evidence-based treatment methods from an attachment-focused lense while addressing the unique needs of each individual client and couple.
I'm grateful to be able to give back to others as the work I have done myself in therapy in the past has helped me to heal myself and my relationships (always a continual process) and grow in ways I truly believe I never would have been able to otherwise.
I believe that no one should have to go through the process of relational healing and going beyond what we can reasonably do alone without someone to help guide us through it all. My goal in my practice is to provide excellent therapy that exceeds your expectations and helps you to experience deep lasting changes, with benefits that continue long after our time together has concluded. I believe every person has unique needs and goals and you deserve to have someone who is fully invested in helping you achieve them.
